This article outlines the step-by-step process for testing and manually deploying a Wave designed in the MyWave Innovation Hub into the MyWave Runtime environment. Note: Automation of this workflow is planned for a future release.

Step 1: Build & Test in Innovation Hub

In the Innovation Hub, select your Workspace and click the WAVEs tab.

Click Create New Wave, and complete the fields:

      • Name – Title of your Wave.

      • Intent – Purpose or action (e.g., “Submit Timesheet”).

      • Define conversation steps, add InfoPlugins, and configure conditions as needed.

Step 2: Manual Deployment to MyWave Runtime

Currently, deployment is performed manually by uploading the workspace configuration to your server.

Deployment Steps:

1. Export the Workspace

    • Navigate to the Workspace Library in the Innovation Hub.

    • Click Export to download a .zip file of your entire workspace.

2. Prepare for Deployment

  • Unzip the downloaded file on your local machine.

3. Overwrite Deployment Directories

  • Copy and replace the following server directories with the contents from the unzipped folder:

<mywave-platform>/conversations
<integration-service>/conversations

4. Restart the MyWave Services

  • Restart both:

    • The MyWave AI Platform

    • The Integration Service

This ensures that newly deployed Waves and updates are loaded into runtime.

Notes & Best Practices

  • Backup existing workspace files before overwriting.

  • Ensure proper file permissions on the server post-deployment.

  • Future updates will support automated deployment directly from the Innovation Hub.
