This article outlines the step-by-step process for testing and manually deploying a Wave designed in the MyWave Innovation Hub into the MyWave Runtime environment. Note: Automation of this workflow is planned for a future release.
Step 1: Build & Test in Innovation Hub
In the Innovation Hub, select your Workspace and click the WAVEs tab.
Click Create New Wave, and complete the fields:
-
-
-
Name – Title of your Wave.
-
Intent – Purpose or action (e.g., “Submit Timesheet”).
-
Define conversation steps, add InfoPlugins, and configure conditions as needed.
-
-
Step 2: Manual Deployment to MyWave Runtime
Currently, deployment is performed manually by uploading the workspace configuration to your server.
Deployment Steps:
1. Export the Workspace
-
-
Navigate to the Workspace Library in the Innovation Hub.
-
Click Export to download a .zip file of your entire workspace.
-
2. Prepare for Deployment
-
Unzip the downloaded file on your local machine.
3. Overwrite Deployment Directories
-
Copy and replace the following server directories with the contents from the unzipped folder:
<mywave-platform>/conversations
<integration-service>/conversations
4. Restart the MyWave Services
-
Restart both:
-
The MyWave AI Platform
-
The Integration Service
-
This ensures that newly deployed Waves and updates are loaded into runtime.
Notes & Best Practices
-
Backup existing workspace files before overwriting.
-
Ensure proper file permissions on the server post-deployment.
-
Future updates will support automated deployment directly from the Innovation Hub.
